Pipelines

ArcGIS Pro and arcpy, the ArcGIS Python API, and scheduled Python that runs whether or not anyone is at a desk. A UAS pilot’s raw thermal export becomes a complete incident package in about five minutes on the pipeline we designed and built for the UAS Wildland Fire Collaborative. We build the same kind of thing for recurring agency reporting.

Field systems

Survey123 forms designed for the crew that will actually use them, tablet deployment, and collection standards built to hold up to audit. Field data lands in hosted services and shows up in dashboards the same day.

Hosted and visual

ArcGIS Online hosted feature services, Experience Builder and Scene Viewer apps, Dashboards, and StoryMaps. A botanist reviewed species calls for a river corridor in an Experience Builder app we set up for the job. That review corrected the training samples before the final run.

Analysis tooling

R with lidR, ForestTools, ranger, caret, and terra for canopy delineation and machine learning classification. Python with PDAL and Open3D for point clouds. Global Mapper Pro, Agisoft Metashape Professional, Pix4D, and Inertial Explorer for processing. TreeCanopy, our R Shiny app, pulls crown polygons and heights from LiDAR with a calibrated Oregon ash preset.

Delivery formats

Shapefile, file geodatabase, KMZ, LAS and LAZ, GeoTIFF, DXF, PDF, and hosted services, in the coordinate system your GIS or engineer specifies.
